California
This day began with Titus going to find a muffler shop to fix our 'roar'. So the rest of us slept in and relaxed till he got back. These trees were so pretty and right beside our table.
10:00 am. and all is fixed and we travel on. At one point we had to go inland because Rt 1 was closed due to a rock/mud slide.
As we drove, the Sierra Nevada Mountains or coastal mountains were a beautiful backdrop to the fertile fields of crops and more vineyards. Acres and acres, mile after mile of fields with varied stages of growth of crops. Fields being plowed under, others being worked up and irrigation pipes put in. Other fields with newly planted crops, others starting to show growth and others fully grown and fruit being picked, and then being plowed up to start the process all over again. It was so interesting!

They have a box on a cart filling the boxes that
we get in the store. Buying fruit in the store takes on a whole new perspective.

Brandon had heard that an In-N-Out Burger place is a must do place to eat. They were quite common in the western states. It was interesting, they only had 3 different burgers and they sure put the food through. One chef, all he did was put the potatoes in a cutter for fries. They had quite an assembly going on.
Delish!
Truck shenaningans...
when you get bored and tired of sitting in one place you try a different position... worked for awhile until, dad either slammed on the brakes or went around a corner... then one fell off on top of the one on the floor.
on going beauty...
We got to a pull off and had to stop... just to take in the views and so I could snap some pictures without 'zooming' by.
and the boys had to throw stones and see if they could hit the water... no luck... much further than one would think
Due to the detour, we had to go around and down to the McWay Falls in the Julia Pfiffer Burns State Park. It was a beautiful spot!
the Falls fall in to the ocean and the cycle of connectedness with a greater body of water
life, ebbing and flowing, ever on and together
Our night's stay place
We got to the campground in time for a swim, finally.
It was cold and Sheldon was getting up courage to get wet...
All in!
Then we went back to our camper, eating supper. After eating we headed back to the ocean to watch the setting sun. Titus and I walked the trail which followed an old train track and we almost missed the setting sun. The boys drove the truck to the beach and Brandon caught some good shots of it and shared one with me.
It was WINDY and chilly but I ended not needing my hat. It felt good right at first.
so many shades of colour

my family... mine to be a part of...
and I am grateful
the boys made this indention in the sand and as the waves washed over it, the waters left little critters swimming in the 'pool'
