California
We also saw lemon trees and other trees that were different but no fruit so I don't know what kind we saw. 😄 Later we figured out some were apricot trees.
wait, wait, wait... only to become aware that this is only one of the many times we had to wait...
We had entered the main area and were looking for a place to drop our camper. We were turning around to go back to an area, when all of a sudden this white vehicle pulls in behind us... Levis!!!! Oh it was fun to have a surprise and to see familiar faces! We spent the day in Sequoia Park together.
burned areas
construction was a number of places due to all the washouts, etc from all the snow they had during the winter and it caused a lot of snow melting run-off
quite the majestic and towering trees
we stopped here for a bit
this was quite steep to climb to get to a tree with a hollow base... it had too many people in it so I didn't go in but the boys had gone in it.
hollow spaces
pinecones
moss
many a curve...
stream of water
burl (result of stress for the tree)
the rest of the gang went to get our vehicles and so Mar and I meandered the rest of the trail to a lower parking lot
lunch time
bloom. even when dry and rock surround you
Moro Rock ahead
350 steps!

shuttle service
sighting our first bear
foraging on the dead bark
supper time
When we got back to where we parked the camper it was around 6. We decided we'd grill hot dogs right here before moving on towards our night's stay. We invited Levis to join us for our fare.
volleyball... exercise...
evening's glow
We were able to pack up and leave our camper at a spot next door where we had to check in.
