Washington ➡️ Idaho ➡️ Montana
This morning before we head out, Titus tried to get one of the 960 Sun Road passes into Glacier National Park. Within the minute all he got was their site was crashing due to heavy volume of traffic. He tried Many Glaciers, same thing. With 5 left for Two Medicine, we got one. It was disappointing but we worked it out on the day we went.
Today is a day of moving from one place to get to another, traveling. The only sightseeing stop we made today was at Palouse Falls in a state park. Today we lose an hour, the first of three till we're back in our time zone.
Lots of apple orchards and these are crates of apples at a plant.
onions
irrigating sweet corn
acres and acres, mile after mile
Washington's landscape turns desert-like
rolling hills of wheat
Palouse Falls
on we go...
Washington's road signs had George Washington's silhouette face behind the number
The only longhorned cow I managed to get 🙈😄
Sheep and goats
We kept seeing these dust funnels
We enjoyed the roadside stands that had fresh fruit - cherries and apricots were the most common and our favourite! This one was right beside where we filled the truck up with gas and had lunch. It was a perfect addition to our lunch!
steeples against the blue sky intrigue me and are so picturesque
landscape turns green again and mountains and water appear
A stop for huckleberry ice cream. Some of us got black raspberry and it is so similar in taste. From here on huckleberry was a common berry flavour for many items of food.
Montana's beautiful scenery
lots of land with hay bales
with some landscape more desert-like
It was so nice to arrive in good time with daylight hours left to relax a bit. It was a gorgeous place to be!
grilling chicken for alfredo
I love how the sun illuminates the trees
Evening delight
So much beauty and this soul of mine breathes deep and finds a place of peace.
